Description
Great opportunity for sharp SQL Architect to have a direct impact on design and implementation of risk analysis systems and company performance. You will be responsible for building tools and engineering solutions to facilitate product development life cycle and production infrastructure operations. Versed in administration of relational database environments including installation and configuration of Microsoft SQL Server (Sybase a plus) and adjunct products (Analysis Services, Replication, etc.) in both clustered and stand-alone configurations incorporated within the Risk Analytics business domain. You must have the ability to perform SQL Code analysis and debugging and make recommendations to improve efficiency of database design. Ability to develop programs and design solutions on Windows/Intel server platforms to enhance automated monitoring of production operational services. Provide engineering support to application development groups. Support and enhance as needed, transactional replication model used for critical reporting.

Requirements:

Successful candidate must have a strong DBA track record and expert knowledge of MS SQL server - Development of automated database maintenance utilities - Expert knowledge of client connectivity TDS/TCP/IP packages including ODBC, OLEDB, and JDBC. - Possess an expert knowledge of database performance and tuning optimization tools and techniques. - Have hands-on experience with disaster recovery techniques and database failure contingency planning including Windows 2003 multi-node clustering. - Experience with transactional replication required. - Financial information systems experience supporting Investment-Banking Securities industry desired. - Teamwork oriented with strong communication skills. - 7 years of experience hands-on Microsoft SQL Server production database support with qualified experience in a lead technical role and programming in .NET experience a plus. - 4 year degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. We are seeking highly motivated individual with ability to work effectively with peers in the development group to achieve product deployment goals.
