Robert Half Technology has been retained to find a SQL Data Analyst for a thriving, unique company in Tampa. Other duties may be assigned. - Works with management and users to analyze, design, implement and / or support the data cleansing process. Strengths usually revolve around communication, organization, and cross-functional business and application knowledge. - Assists in defining, planning, and implementation of goals and milestones associated with data related projects. - Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database[s]. - Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. - Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. - Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. - May provide consultation on complex projects. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. - Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. - Defining back-end database structures from a logical or application-oriented perspective to ensure that all front-end development efforts correlate with the appropriate tables and fields required by the system. - Also defines logical views and works with the database administrator to create physical data structures. - Must communicate with different teams, clients, and employees and have the ability to translate technology into business terms.df-tc

Experience/Skills
1. Technical – The SQL Data Analyst will have a good foundation and understanding of databases, data patterns, structures and techniques including MS SQL Server, 2000 / 2005, DTS, SSIS, ERD, DFD, TSQL. In addition, interest in working closely with close knit IT department including .NET Developers, other Database Analysts, and Network people. (small dynamic environment) 2. Communication (both oral and written) - Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions. Must communicate at many different organizational levels including direct client interaction.3. Project Management - Generates creative solutions; uses feedback to modify designs; Demonstrates attention to detail. Develops alternative solutions; should be able to improvise. Demonstrated skill at managing timelines; both internal and external (client).Education/Experience: - 2-year degree (4-year degree preferred) or 2 years experienced
