Description
Downtown-based construction company is looking for an experienced SQL database administrator with 2+ years experience to provide comprehensive support of all Microsoft SQL Server database servers in the company. The Database Administrator will be required to install and administer MS SQL Server 2000/2005 databases on MS Windows 2003 servers in a multiple database server, high availability environment, as well as manage and create databases, schemas, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, and declarative integrity constraints. The job role also includes monitoring databases for resource utilization, initiating corrective action to ensure all database servers meet processing requirements for performance and reliability, among other duties. Experience/Skills
Requirements include 2+ years experience in a database administration role working heavily with SQL 2000 and 2005. Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) SQL Server certification is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft’s Analysis Server and Reporting Services, exposure to MS SQL 2005 migration heavily preferred. 2+ years experience with DTS and Stored Procedures required. 4+ years supporting and/or installing applications on a Windows server required. Excellent communication skills required.
