SQL Database Administrator

For this position, you will bring your experience as a Database Administrator to this company that provides ad server solutions to online advertising agencies and publishers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining the SQL Server database and OLAP environments
  
• Optimizing and tuning database/OLAP systems to maximize performance and operation
  
• Investigating and resolving problem issues originating in the database systems and Analysis services/OLAP servers
  
• Deploying new databases and upgrading/updating existing database systems
  
• Installing SQL and OLAP production servers
  
• Overseeing daily operations (monitoring, store management, backups, index maintenance, troubleshooting)
  
• Participating in 24/7 on-call support for database and OLAP systems

• 5+ years related work experience
  
• Experience maintaining or developing databases using SQL Server 2000 and 2005
  
• Experience with AS, SSIS, BIDS, or BI suite
  
• Experience with SQL Server OLAP (Analysis Services)
  
• Experience with T-SQL, MDX, XMLA, and Visual Studio 2005
  
• Relational database experience in logical and physical data models and data marts
  
• Experience in OLAP/Cube design and build (Microsoft Analysis Services)
  
• Experience in ETL (Microsoft Integration Services)
  
• Knowledge of Database engineering practices and schema design
  
• Knowledge of Internet based services, web technologies, and Excel pivot tables
  
• Familiarity with OLAP/SQL reporting technologies
  
• Bachelors degree in a related field
  
• Experience running SQL and OLAP servers in a SAN environment is preferred
  
• Experience with SQL Server transactional replication is a plus
  
• Knowledge of SQL Server internals and Windows internals is a plus
  
• Knowledge of SQL profiler and performance dashboard is a plus
