Robert Half Technology is accepting applications for a Microsoft SQL Developer / Database Administrator for a contract to permanent position with one of our Seattle area clients. The focus of the SQL Developer / Database Administrator will be on developing and supporting databases. The SQL Developer / Database Administrator will join a small team and take on sole responsibility for the SQL development and administration work. The client offers a casual work environment with an opportunity to expand your knowledge of data warehouse design and implementation.     Description of the SQL Developer / Database Administrator position:
  • Support, optimize, design and develop multiple legacy and new production databases.
  • Monitor and tune database systems for performance, capacity, and integrity.
  • Create and debug custom queries, stored procedures and reports.
  • Process data import and data export requests. It's an ETL process.

Experience/Skills
    Requirements of the SQL Developer / Database Administrator position:
  • 5+ years SQL 2000 Server development and administration experience in a production environment.
  • Experience should including creating views, indices, complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Database design experience with hi level understanding of reporting concepts.
  • Performance tuning and optimization, analysis, and implementation.
  • B.S. degree and 5+ years of SQL Development and DBA experience or equivalent work experience.
