Seeking an organized and self-motivated individual to help support our IS Department. This person can be a recent graduate from College. ...If a junior person, then must have the following:

- BS or better in Computer Science

- SQL knowledge

- A go-getter with a logical mind.

- The manager will teach you everything else. Interview for this person will be logic based. Salary for a junior person is about $50k plus a bonus

Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deployment of applications using PeopleTools, Visual Basic, SQL Server, and SQL.


Responsibilities

A programmer/analyst will develop, maintain, enhance, and integrate software. The following responsibilities will be covered:

=C2=B7 Learn the core business and applications.

=C2=B7 Learn software project life cycle - gathering user requirements, business analysis, writing specifications, estimating time, coding, writing test plans, testing and application release.

=C2=B7 Analyze user requirements, develop technical specifications, database design, and functional prototypes

=C2=B7 Develop and maintain software using application tools

=C2=B7 Develop logical and physical database design working with DBA

=C2=B7 Perform quality assurance testing.

=C2=B7 Deploy application software.

=C2=B7 Trouble shoot problems with applications and create system documentation.

=C2=B7 Provide supervisor with accurate and timely project status reports

=C2=B7 Consult with functional leaders and the users of the applications to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements. Manage end users expectations.

=C2=B7 Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.

=C2=B7 Write and maintain technical & functional specifications.

=C2=B7 Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs.

=C2=B7 Develop and maintain plans outlining steps and time tables for developing programs.

=C2=B7 Research and evaluate, and recommend software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms.

=C2=B7 Design and code screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.

=C2=B7 Work with DBA to design the database, monitor end user usage of the system, and resolve performance issues.

=C2=B7 Develop and maintain applications using Visual Basic, SQLServer, People Tools, Transact-SQL, Active Server Pages, People Code, Crystal Reports, etc.

=C2=B7 Compile programs into executables and correct errors detected in compile process.


Qualifications for an experienced person (see above for a junior person)

=C2=B7 College degree/Technical certificate - Computer Science, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering

=C2=B7 Minimum of 1 year of programming using VB, People Tools, ASP and Crystal Reports experience and a strong understanding of programming concepts, database design, and SQL

=C2=B7 Strong problem solver

=C2=B7 Team player

=C2=B7 Strong communication skills
