SMARTSOURCE is in need of a SQL Developer/Report Writer in Phoenix, AZ

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Identify security needs for databases and reporting and work with IT team to implement

Develop and maintain ERD diagrams for all company databases, including data dictionaries.

Develop SQL backup scripts and maintains ongoing SQL jobs on a daily basis

Perform performance monitoring and optimization as required

Works closely with functional IT resources and Business Systems Manager to outline and scope reporting layouts and parameters

Develop ad-hoc reports as required

Identify database inefficiencies and duplications and resolves system disconnects

Develop a SQL Reporting services repository within Sharepoint, IIS and .NET. Works with Business Systems Manager to deploy reports in an intranet framework

Required Technical Competencies:

Experience with installing, configuring, and developing reports using Microsoft Reporting Services

Proficiency with Sharepoint Portal w/background in developing forms, workflows, and integration into SQL and SRS back-end systems

Stored Procedure writing with T-SQL background

SQL Server 2000/2005 working knowledge including SP's, triggers, Index Optimization, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor=E2=80=99s degree in computer science or related field; MIS/CIS

2-3 years specific Microsoft SQL database design/administration, 3-5 years total database management and design

2 years developing AD-HOC reporting solutions using enterprise reporting systems

Database design skills

Strong Database understanding including Normalization, Optimization, etc.

Experience and understanding of manufacturing and aerospace/defense company applications, systems, projects, and analysis is a plus
