Description
VIP is a rapidly growing consulting firm with three primary lines of
business: technology integration and operations, strategic and organizational consulting, and program/project management. VIP has offices in Folsom, California, Alexandria, Virginia, Denver, Colorado, and New York City, NY Recently we were nominated the 86th fastest growing company in the United States spanning all industries.

VIP was recently awarded a project with a Government agency to provide operations and maintenance support to their systems. We currently have 15-20 people on the project including Project Managers, Testers and Developers. We are currently looking to bring on 1-2 SQL Server Consultants to support our existing team and project. The contract will be in our Alexandria office and will last for approximately 6 months.

The SQL Server Consultant will be responsible for the following:
-Support and maintain a large database
-Investigate application issues and provide solutions
-Perform/document root cause analysis for issues reported
-Provide data correction scripts/stored procedures/triggers on SQL Server 2000
-Develop custom application(VC++, VB, ASP) to automate common routine tasks -Review application performance and recommend ways to improve performance/response time
-Monitor the application and the associated infrastructure

Required Skills:
-Development skills on SQL Server 2000 (writing TSQL scripts)
-Ability to develop/maintain/monitor stored procedures/triggers/functions on SQL Server 2000
-Strong data analysis skills using SQL Server 2000
-Microsoft Certified DBA is desired
