Description
Our client is looking for a SQL Server DBA for a 3 month position in Annapolis, MD.The Senior/Staff DBA will be a key member of the Enterprise Applications business unit and have the primary responsibility for the implementation and subsequent support of Microsoft SQL Server. The DBA will be the primary escalation point for all Microsoft SQL Server and relevant technology issues. This person will also be required to assist our senior Oracle DBA with Oracle administration. As a member of a support and engineering team, the DBA will be expected to identify and implement opportunities for automation, specialized monitoring and improved efficiencies. Exposure to other database technologies (i.e. Oracle, DB2, Mysql) is highly desirable. All candidates must be willing to learn some basic ERP architecture fundamentals. Required Skills: -Qualified candidates must have good interpersonal, verbal communication, and troubleshooting skills. -Works under broad supervision and troubleshoots basic problems and recommends appropriate action. -Must have a Bachelors degree -3+ years of experience in SQL Server administration. -ERP application experience is highly desirable.
