Description
Our Mayfield Heights client is hiring a full time, direct-hire employee to join their team as a SQL Server DBA. (No third parties, please).

Type of work to be performed:
- The individual will be responsible for database administration for SQL Server databases.
- Work closely with developers, the Windows server team, and other database team members to support and administer SQL Server databases.
- Perform database monitoring, maintenance, and tuning.
- Provide database technical expertise in order to implement new and maintain existing systems.
- Provide technical support for corporate and divisional application development staffs.

Experience/Skills
Mandatory Qualifications (must have to be considered):

- 3-6 years DBA experience with SQL Server
- 2 years experience with another DBMS - IMS, DB2 z/OS, DB2 LUW, Oracle.
- Excellent problem solving and SQL tuning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to work weekends and off-hours


Preferred Qualifications (optional, would be helpful):
- Have programming and application development experience
- Database design
- Data warehousing
- Experience with SQL Server Analytic Services
