PLANIT currently has an immediate opening for a SQL Server Database Administrator/Programmer with exceptional development skills for our client, an $8 billion company. This position is 6-9 months with an option to hire.

Summary:
* To administer and further develop SQL Server databases.

Responsibilities:
* Design, implement and maintain complex MS SQL Server database environment.
* Consult and work with the developer, and associate to resolve application or data conflicts.
* Work with management to develop strategies to support the organization's objectives.
* Responsible for quality control, auditing and security of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of resources and data.
* Perform performance tuning
* Create ETL processes to process data using SQL Server tools such as DTS or SSIS
* Write complex T-SQL (stored procedures, queries, etc)
* Build reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)

Qualifications and Requirements:
* Thorough working knowledge of MS IIS, SQL Server 2000/2005, and Windows 2000/2003.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to effectively exchange ideas and information and effectively relate to others in order to accomplish work responsibilities, and strong troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment and to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
* A minimum of three-year full time DBA experience is required.
* PHP and VBScript are desired, but not required.
