Description
System Monitoring - Monitoring alert logs, dump files and other logs for errors. Identify performance bottlenecks due to waits and suggestions as to how to address them. Performance Tuning - Monitor efficient use of memory and CPU resources. Storage Management - Regularly monitor the usage of disk space on servers. Backup and Recoverability - Creating, testing and maintaining backup schemes and conducting recoverability tests Script Installation - Installing customized scripts, as required, for system monitoring, storage management, and backup and recovery.

Requirements:

- 5 years working as SQL server DBA - Working with SQL Server 7 and 2000 - Knowledge of DTS, BCP Data Manipulation - Stored Procedures, Transaction SQL - Microsoft Clustering - Data Modeling and Normalization Skills - DB2 Background a plusdf-tc
