Experience/Skills
SQL Database Administrator

The Database Administrator’s role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.

Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers, including MS SQL Server, Oracle, Unidata/Universe databases. Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience. Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.

Requirements:
- 6+ years experience as a SQL Server DBA v2000, v2005
- Experience with SQL Database development, Data Models, Database Designs, Data Access and Table maintenance.
- Responsible for Database Stored Procedures, Database Clustering, Database Performance and Database Capacity issues
- Also helpful is experience with disaster recovery.
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3 -5 years equivalent work experience.
- Certifications in related technologies are a plus.
