Description
You will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of multiple database servers (130+ servers). This includes administration and maintenance of SQL servers, troubleshooting specific SQL server bugs and errors, supporting all development efforts, and provide on-call support during off hours and weekends. This is in support of a 24x7 production environment.
Required Skills: Four year degree in Computer Science and 3 or more years of professional experience. Must have experience with DTS. Development and programming skills (ie used VB, VC++, C, C++, SQL, T-SQL, stored proc, triggers etc) for the purpose of development support, Experience with High Availability Database Solutions (they are in an active/passive environment), Team Player, Strong communications skills.
Preferred Skills: Knowledge of TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager), Visio, Experience with Business Objects, Financial Services background, 64 Bit SQL Server Experience. Experience with assisting Developers in Debugging Code.
Comments: This position is located in Columbus, GA. Must be available for on call support and some weekends. Must be in the office between the hours of 9am - 4pm. Other than that they are flexible with work hours.
