Description
CRI Advantage is looking for a SQL Server Database Administrator to take direction from a Solution Architect to develop a Planning Database for a student information school plan product. This initial project will be done for Santa Clara County Office of Eduction (SCCOE).

Immediate tasks will include developing an architectural model for bringing data to the Planning database from California?s STAR & SARC websites. It is expected that FTP processes will be used to migrate the data. Additionally, data will be brought into the Planning database in more conventional sense ? DTS, etc. This individual will develop the data schema for the Planning database containing row & column data and textual / commentary fields.

This person must have good technical skills and must be familiar with FTP processes and .DBF files.

This person must have good soft skills as he/she will be working closely with the customer to develop options and make recommendations toward a successful solution.

This person must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, must work closely with web development team, developing stored procedures for accessing database and updating it.

Helpful: good DTS skills; Understanding of MS Reporting Services; XML; education industry.

Technical qualifications include 4 ? 10 years in IT as a hands-on DBA and/or developer. Must have strong RDBMS (SQL Server 2000) and flat file processing knowledge and experience required.

Duration of assignment is 2 months. Pay dependent on experience.df-tc
