IMMEDIATE NEED!We are in search of a SQL Server Database Administrator, proficient with SQL Server 2005, for a contract to full-time opportunity with a progressive local company. Required experience includes database maintenance, manipulation, optimization, and break-fix, as well as creating data-design models, database architecture, and working with reporting teams to ensure the availability of standard and ad-hoc data reporting. This position will also be responsible for implementation and testing of database design and functionality, performance tuning, and more specifically, design and development of back-end databases to interface with web and e-commerce applications. Experience/Skills
Candidates for this position are required to have 3+ years experience with SQL Server administration, excellent data-analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills. Also, strong knowledge of Data Modeling, Performance Measurement/Tuning, ODBC, Disaster Recovery, Data Mapping, Capacity Planning, and Stored Procedures is required. A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics or similar is preferred.
