Candidate needs to have Fixed income or Equity experience along with front office experience.Rate: Professional day $560/day (could be slightly flexible)Duration: 7+ monthsLocation: CTDescription:REQUIREMENTExtensive knowledge of SQL Server development components (stored procs,views, triggers, functions, DTS) and SQL tuning best practices.- Through knowledge of SQL Server administration (backup & recovery,security, db linking, db sizing, job creation, replication).- Through knowledge of data modeling and schema generation (preferably usinga modeling tool).- A background in building SQL solutions for trading systems preferably in ahedge fund or prime broker environment.- Significant experience working as a data architect or development DBAwithin financial services with high transaction volumes.- Extensive experience working with database centric data drivenenvironments using Microsoft Technologies.- Knowledge of a variety of financial instruments, products and services.- Education: B.S. degree required in computer science, engineering orrelated discipline.Below is an example of the tasks the developer may be asked to perform.- Execute task list assignments and resolve all production issues accordingto priority.- Gather technical requirements from developers/project leads/managers anddevelop/customize our SQL assets to meet specific needs.- Produce high level and detailed technical architectures; assess andrecommend changes in architectural designs.- Develop proof of concept models to support design efforts.- Develop reliable/reusable/scalable SQL solutions and documentationaccording to our change control management process.- Review SQL objects developed by other team members and approve/disapprovetheir migration- Identify SQL processing bottlenecks and tune performance accordingly.- Evaluate and recommend the use of vendor solutions and tools.- Assist in the development of project plans.- Mentor staff in the use of SQL tools, design and programming techniques.- Participate in code reviews.- Compose best practices guides for writing/tuning SQL objects (stored proc,views, triggers).- Work with all IT groups to gather requirements and work independently toresolve issuesWarm RegardsNina Gadkari Assistant Manager ResourcingAmtex Systems Inc., 50 Broad Street Suite 801 New York, NY 10004 Phone: 212-269-6448 ext 327 (Mon-Wed)/732-603-0040 X 229(Thu-Fri)Fax: 212-269-6458
