Description
SQL Server / Oracle DBA

This individual will be responsible for implementation and management of SQL Server and Oracle databases with duties that include installation and configuration, monitoring, management, performance tuning, process automation, security administration and systems integration.

Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent troubleshooting capabilities.

The IDEAL CANDIDATE has extensive experience working as a SQL Server or Oracle DBA and has some system administration experience. Knowledge of Unix, Linux, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris and Windows is a plus. Candidate must be comfortable administering databases in high availability production environments.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

- 5+ years as a SQL Server production DBA
- Transact SQL experience
- 3+ years as a Oracle production DBA
- Database installation and configuration experience required
- 2+ years scripting experience using sh/ksh/csh/Perl

Other considerations:

- System administration experience with Unix, Linux, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris and Windows
- Veritas Cluster, MC Service Guard, or MSCS experience
- Veritas Volume Manager
- HP File Management

Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card
