Sr. Project Manager with a server and/or infrastructure background.

Location: Newark, DE
Duration: 6 month +
Start Date: by end of June 06

Must have:

5 - 10 years of continuous Project Management exp.

Strong Infrastructure background

Network Servers

Must be able to drive a project

B.S. in Information Systems, Engineering, or other technical field required

Experience with enterprise-level work management, project management application

Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects spanning numerous technology and business departments.

Experience in the financial industry is highly desirable.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable

Excellent communication, verbal and written, skills with effective team management ex-perience required.

Demonstrated planning skills including project costing, tracking, scheduling, risk analysis, and issues resolution.

Leadership ability especially in influencing team members who do not report to you and developing alternate approaches if a technique is not working effectively.

Scope of Work:

* Manage large infrastructure programs/projects in the Technology Operations area.
* Accountable for successful completion (time/cost/quality) of project objectives as re-quired by the business while complying with company processes and policies.
* Lead the planning, execution, and closing of projects with the major focus on providing quality solutions for the stated business objectives of the projects on time and within the budget.
* Develop and maintain all communication channels for the project from sponsor to team to senior management.
* Coordinate with other Operations groups, Development groups, business units, and vendors to meet the business objective.
* Work on other initiatives with Tech Ops, such as processes and strategy to improve the group*s skill set.
