Description
Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Sr. IT Consultant (RFP) on a CONTRACT opportunity with a leading company in the East Bay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the RFP delivery;
Prepare and manage a plan for development of the RFP: participants and their roles, tasks, timeline, checkpoints, etc;
Prepare an outline of the RFP document;
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with intersegmental participants, including the ACS staff;
Write functional, system infrastructure, and data conversion requirements;
Gather proposal and bidder requirements, description of the bidding process, and contract terms & conditions;
Prepare and present a draft document; obtain feedback;
Prepare and present the final RFP document.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in IT consulting, application development, project management, vendor selection, or a combination thereof.
Knowledge of California higher education environments.
Experience with projects related to data standards and data set transactions.
Familiarity with current application development platforms for delivery of Web based business systems.
Strong technical writing skills with experience developing requests for proposals for large, complex software projects.
Creative problem solver who works both independently but also in a consultative environment as part of a team, able to foster and develop others' ideas as well as his/her own.
Ability to make difficult, complex decisions, including experience in negotiation and conflict management.
Ability to work with other people within a committee structure and with representatives of all of the segments of education in California, including the ability to provide excellent verbal and written communication between all involved parties.
Detail oriented and able to coordinate work streams for on-time, on-budget delivery while ensuring project details are accounted for and acted upon.
Effective meeting facilitation skills. Ability to travel within California approximately 15% of the time.df-tc
