Description
Client seeks Java developers due to growth. Excellent opportunity to work for a very stable, growing company with excellent benefits.

Perform requirements gathering, analysis, design, development and testing of complex applications. Should have experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design, JAVA, J2EE technologies, and data modeling. Will maintain and improve existing software systems and processes. Requires excellent analytical, problem solving, oral and written communication skills.

Functions of the positions:

*perform requirements definition, analysis and design, programming and testing of software applications
*design and develop cost-effective J2EE applications
*perform impact analysis of new applications on existing systems
*maintain and improve existing systems and processes
*Consult with users to gather information about program needs, objectives, features, etc.
*analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs
*remain up to date on latest browser and plug-in technologies
*assist IT personnel as needed to design databases, logical views and queries
*Write and maintain technical documentation
*prepare technical reports
*design and code screen layouts, graphical user interfaces
*convert designs and specifications into computer code
*create test transactions and run tests to find errors
*train users and/or technical support staff
*install programs
*monitor performance of programs
*program in web-based languages (XML, HTML, JAVA) for comprehensive web sites
*build tables, frames, and forms and write scripts within the browser
*Proactively work with management to take on added responsibility with less management direction
*demonstrate ability to meet deadlines for projects

Experience/Skills
BS degree with 6-10 years of application analysis, design and development using JAVA and/or J2EE technologies.

Must be proficient in application requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, and testing. Working knowledge of Java and J2EE technologies (servlets, JSP, JSF, Beans), Object-oriented analysis and design, HTML, SQL and XML. Requires knowledge of WebSphere application server, IBM IDE (WSAD), MVC framework, web services and CSS. Any knowledge of Visual Basic would be a plus.



Other desired skills:
