Description
Well known Law Firm has immediate opening for a Senior Messaging Analyst.
You will be responsible for continued production operation of the Firm's electronic messaging systems. This includes monitoring to assure normal operation and also escalation support for issues that may arise. This will include providing technical expertise for design, planning, development and implementation. Responsibilities: Monitoring of production operation and correction of error conditions; Researching and developing hardware and software solutions, including but not necessarily limited to Email, Mobile messaging, failover and recovery system, load balancing, capacity planning, and messaging security; Using related knowledge, certification and expertise to research, recommend and deploy technical solutions for messaging related issues, specifically for Microsoft Exchange server, Microsoft Outlook client, Postini anti-spam, Mail Frontier anti-spam, Semantec SMTP gateways and mobile messaging platforms such as BlackBerry; Preparing technical documentation for all assigned projects; Spearheading the research and development of new standards for Messaging applications based on knowledge, skill and certification; Also ensuring security of messaging content will be maintained properly. Maintaining accurate recording of changes to system and ensuring team members have immediate access to these organized system documentation; Ensuring knowledge of system is properly transferred to management and other designated team members.
Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Computer Information System or related major preferred; Five plus (5+) years' technical experience, building and supporting, mobile messaging server BlackBerry Enterprise Server), Windows 2000/2003 and Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 / 2000 / 2003 / 2007; Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory and Email Security;
Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCSE, NT40/Windows 2000/Windows 2003, Exchange) a plus; Experience in designing, implementing, and managing Enterprise class multiple sites Microsoft Exchange servers; Experience in supervising tasks and managing large scale Exchange upgrade projects;
Expert level experience and knowledge of Microsoft products: Exchange server, Outlook client and Outlook Web Access web interface; Microsoft Windows 2003 Operating System Design and Implementation to advanced level; Good understanding of Active Directory Design and Administration;
Good understanding of Microsoft server clustering and high-availability technologies; Working knowledge of Microsoft back-office server applications SQL (basic level) and Exchange (advanced level); Understanding of: Cisco Systems switches and routers to basic level; San technology such as EMC Storage Area Network technology to basic level; Document Management Systems such as InterWoven / WorkSite to basic level; Citrix Metaframe to basic level; Concepts behind TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP.
