Under the direction of the Applications Director and in collaboration with varied business partners across the organization, the Sr. SharePoint Developer/Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting SharePoint projects and initiatives.

This position requires deep technical expertise of MOSS, Sharepoint 2007 and demonstrated hand-on experience designing and developing large scale SharePoint deployments. The candidate should have much experience working on small to large scale SharePoint projects through all it stages - from business requirements gathering to implementation.

Demonstrated experience deploying SharePoint in multiple organizations and working through the technical and cultural challenges associated with these deployments. The candidate will be heavily involved in SharePoint training for both technical developers as well as business stakeholders.
Duties

- Work with key business partners across the organization conducting meetings to extract business and functional requirements.Work with business analyst(s) on creating functional specifications detailing the requirements and scope of the SharePoint implementation.
- Create detailed technical specifications based on the business requirements.

- Establishes, socializes and enforces SharePoint standards, guidelines, policies, best practices, architecture patterns and frameworks.

- Works with business partners and IR&C functional areas in technical analysis, design, development, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of SharePoint sites.
- Develop SharePoint site templates based on business requirements and develop sites based on intimate knowledge of SharePoint out-of-the-box webparts and functionality as well as third party SharePoint add-ons and custom development.

- Mentor technical staff on SharePoint and its best practices.

- Integrate IR&C staff on SharePoint initiatives.
- Organize knowledge transfers for technical staff and business users as necessary, to support and develop solutions in SharePoint.

Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work on cross-functional teams and foster the team's commitment to tasks



Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and complex business concepts in technical terms




Self motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision and able to work well with stakeholders and project staff



Previous consulting experience working with varied clients building small to large scale solutions in SharePoint.



Minimum 4 years experience developing systems in the .NET framework 2.0 or higher.
