Description
JCPenney Information Technology has an exciting opportunity for an IT Supervisor in the Store Support Center located in Cedar Hill, TX. The IT Supervisor plans, directs, and manages the daily operations of the Store Support Center/IT (SSC/IT) group, working with the Information Technology Control Center (ITCC) and the SSC/IT Manager, and directs and prioritizes work activities for all SSC/IT associates.

Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates and works with SSC management and the ITCC to ensure that all applications are available for the clients.

2. Directs work groups to ensure proper staff scheduling, prioritizes work activities of shift associates, administers policies and procedures, ensures administrative and timekeeping records are properly maintained, and develops goals and training requirements for direct reports.

3. Manages all hardware, software and environment changes to minimize the impact to the clients.

4. Assists in problem determination and resolution, working with SSC/IT associates.

5. Develops expertise and understanding of the systems and applications to provide support to the end user.

6. Responsible for creating and adhering to Capital and Operating Budgets.

7. Works with vendors and IT on hardware and software problems, and escalates open and outstanding issues to SSC/IT management.


Key Relationships:
1. Works with the Store Support Center to ensure all applications are available.

2. Works with vendors on a daily basis to ensure escalated problems and hardware problems are handled in a timely manner.

3. Works with local and remote technical support groups and the ITCC to ensure installations and repairs are completed without interruption to clients.

Qualifications:
1. College degree preferred.
2. 3-5 years of progressively responsible data processing experience.
3. Leadership, oral and written communication skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple complex projects, organizational skills.df-tc
