Software Certification/Deployment Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
Will be working on special divisional priority projects. This person will perform software repackaging and deployment for critical business applications. Once the business applications have been repackaged, this engineer will deploy them via Citrix. A good focus of this job will involve building Windows Installer packages utilizing Wise for Windows Installer as the repackaging tool. Will be working with both shrink wrap and custom apps. May also be responsible for building standard installation, configuration, and maintenance of supported SW programs. This includes the following process that has been developed (not trying to redesign it). Assist divisions in requirement analysis, PC/LAN technology or WAN solutions design and technical recommendations. Provide innovative solutions for installing, distributing and updating standard packages across a variety of locations and platforms. In addition, this person may be loading Windows OS and performing registry work.

Required skills:
*Min of 4 yrs of equivalent experience in PC/LAN technology, Internetworking, WAN or Telecommunications environment or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
*Extensive knowledge of software evaluation and certification methodology, Wise for Windows (building MSI packages), Winstall, PC/LAN and WAN technology. *Strong background in application packaging and deployment utilizing Citrix as the deployment tool is highly preferred.
*Experience in loading OS, registry work, and ghost. *Experience updating MSI and using scripting tools. *Understanding of backend database. Ability to set up users on PC's supported by mainframe, AS400 and Unix platforms would also be a huge plus.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and managerial skills.
*Knowledge of MS Windows 9.x, NT and 2000 (workstation and server), and core MS applications such as MS Word and Excel, Windows Installer and WISE, and at least one scripting language.
*Ability to work effectively with clients and other data processing management, staff and vendors is needed.
*Must be well organized and detail oriented.
