We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator Engineer to be located at our Phoenix, California location
Position Summary
The Plant Technology Solutions Engineers installs, maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades computer hardware, software, personal computer networks, peripheral equipment and company wide electronic mail systems; assesses user training needs and trains users in effective use of applications; makes recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions; prepares documentation and provides user assistance to plant staff; and performs related work as required.


Key Duties / Responsibilities - Essential duties are identified by asterisks.
Oversees and implements the design, development, and maintenance of systems, programs, applications, and process control technology to meet the needs of Plant Operations. (30%)

Responsible for installing, supporting and maintaining new server hardware and software infrastructure; allocating network resources; setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords and monitoring network usage. (20%)
Ensures the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers. Suggests and provides IT solutions to business and management problems while ensuring that all IT equipment complies with industry standards. (20%)
Analyzes and resolves faults, whether it is a major system crash or a forgotten password while undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring network security, particularly if the network connects to the internet. (20%)
Will provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence while working closely with other departments/organizations and collaborating with other IT staff. Reasonable for planning and implementing future IT developments and project work. (10%)


Education & Knowledge Required

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
2-3 years experience successfully managing an IT Infrastructure
MCSE Preferred but not required


Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
2 years of experience in the IT field maintaining computer systems. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts practices and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.


Supervisory Responsibility
May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Communication & Contacts Required
1. Plant Management and all plant employees
2. All corporate support functions.


Decision Making
Requires a high amount of problem solving and coordinated action in cooperation with staff support
