Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Systems Analyst on a 9+ month contract opportunity with a leading company in Hauppauge, NY

You must be a local candidate to be considered. This is a W2 contract through Adecco. (no corp to corp, 1099, H1b candidates will be considered)



Project Summary and Position Overview:

To provide technical expertise within a team focused on the implementation of ongoing projects of IDN (Integrated Data Network). It includes but not limited to the IDN Collections systems, which take in the Real Time exchange data, check for communications and formatting accuracy, provide business logic to massage the data and add value, and then transmit the data down to the IDN Core and Distribution devices, as well as the client's data network for certain exchanges, for client consumption. To ensure full compliance to operational standards, procedures, and best practice in the delivery of world class market data


Required Skills (Must have),
Necessary industry Experience & associated number of years of experience:
"* Networking experience, switch configuration, Windows server builds.
* Wintel environment including: Windows clustering, domain controll, Web servers, Citrix server configuration.
* Working Knowledge of Enterprise networks (Cisco based); TCP/IP, UDP Multicast
* Enthusiasm and ability to learn quickly
* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills (to include operating system, hardware, network connectivity)
* Performance tuning of Operating System, Networking interfaces and network tunable parameters.
* MS Visio and Excel use for documentation.
* Disciplined, with the knowledge of the ITIL process or other corporate standard
* Strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to liaison with people from a variety of internal and external groups/companies."

Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills),
Necessary industry Experience & associated number of years of experience:

"* Working Knowledge of SAN storage
* ITIL Foundation Certificate
* Knowledge of the financial markets is a plus."
