Description
BASIC FUNCTION
Primary responsibility is to provide assistance and follow up to all members of the sales group by maintaining open and effective communication with Area Managers, Central Distributors, Account Executives and OEM accounts; to coordinate Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Service, Parts Administration, Order Entry, and related activities between the home office and the field. To provide a resource for the field for information and follow up relative to implementation and attainment of Sales, Division, and group objectives, policies, and programs and to collect a variety of information from the field for use in assisting with the development and implementation of Sales accounts including assigned special projects.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in writing, reviewing, analyzing and determining specifications.

Prepares and participates in weekly sales meeting and others as required.

Provides summaries and evaluation of monthly Gross Margin reports.

Provides communication support regarding deliveries and schedules.

Coordinates and tracks sample engines through the order delivery and follow up process.

Reviews, recommends and edits OEM and distributor incentive and rebate programs.

Coordinates the development and administration of sales and expense budgets.

Analyze OEM customers, markets and applications as relates to sales opportunities. Maintaining OEM customer and market data and information.

Cooperating with Marketing, collects and develops information from sales force, as well as all required sources, needed for sales forecast, market research projects, and general market and competitive information; analyzes data and recommends strategies to establish more effective field sales programs.

Conducts studies as directed on special projects and assignments, analyzes information and all alternate approaches, and recommends the best solutions.

Keeps abreast of current policies and programs affecting Distributors; works with Area Managers and Distributors to see that all levels of distribution are trained on Kohler programs and that this information is reaching all levels of distribution.

Analyzes distributor sales and program participation, evaluates variances, recommends corrective action, and works with Area Managers to optimize sales.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory Relationships:
Reports to Director Sales
Organization Relationships:
Continuous contact with all Engine Division departments and personnel for exchange of information and guidance

Moderately frequent contact with Legal, Credit, and Employee Relations relative to exchange of information and guidance
External Business Relationships:

Frequent contact with Distributors personnel, OEM personnel, and industry people through attendance at trade shows, Distributor and OEM sales meetings, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing or Business Administration with a background in the engine industry or distribution. Must be aggressive, analytical, a good communicator and results oriented.df-tc
