This is a multifaceted position designed to increase customer touch, vendor management and sales capacity.

Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains customer relationships in relations to day-to-day operations and transactional sales.
- Interfaces with Field Representatives to extract and understand customer needs.
- Builds relationships with vendor partners.
- Keeps current with vendor programs (e.g. Rebates, discounts, registrations, etc.).
- Manages and processes Field Representatives proposals while applying applicable vendor programs.
- Follows up needs and processes required from vendors.
- Communicates opportunity status back to vendor partners.
- Communicates customer expectations to Customer Service Representative and other internal resources.
- Coordinates applicable resources for pre-sales process and communicates capabilities and expectations to sales representatives.
- Works with Customer Service Representative to assist in order processing and vendor fulfillment.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, card deck leads, aged leads, bingos, dealer resellers, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
- Helps with logistical concerns for marketing events.
- Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
- Attends and contributes to sales meetings.
- Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
- Coordinates resources to be engaged in 'larger and more strategic' opportunities.
- Returns customer voice mails within one hour of receipt with answers or status report.
- Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
- Tracks stock levels of key products.
- Tracks and communications availability of project personnel.
- Handles 'hand-off' of clients to support line.
- Reviews and proofs Statements of Work (SOW).
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into CRM.
- Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities up to date.
- Travels to and attends trade shows.
- Handle customer calls when salespeople are not in the office and to include rollover when a salesperson is in the office but on the phone.
- Ensures and enforces sales policies and processes
- Be available as a backup to Accounting Dept. answering incoming phone calls. This includes tracking down someone in support should a support call come back because customer didn't want to stay on hold, page someone to open the back door for FedEx/UPS or any other delivery. Base requirement would be to know how to use hold, park, page, voice mail and transfer buttons.
