Description
Title: Sales Director - Western Region (WR) Reports to: VP - North America Sales Primary role: set the direction, lead and manage execution of Intersil's Selling organization in the Western region.

Responsible for expanding Intersil's WR revenue and profit by focusing on the following:

* Establish new business with the Tier 1 OEM customers beyond that which Intersil already enjoys.
* Develop new vertical market or product segments for Intersil that are driven by WR based customers.
* Develop a distribution demand creation process that results in significant design win and POS growth at Tier 2 & 3 customer across all Intersil PL's.
* Manage Intersil's distribution strategy and relationship with partners in WR. Make changes to stimulate demand creation and or gain share of mind.
* Identify and select emerging markets early enough for Intersil to supply a solution to have a first mover advantage versus the competition.
* Set a vision for WR 3-5 years in the future, develop a strategy and gain buy in from the local team and Intersil corporate to take the actions needed to achieve this vision.
* Assess the Intersil WR staff; add, develop and retain the talent needed in order to meet the growth targets.
* Develop a close working relationship with the Intersil PL's to collaborate on growing WR business as described above.

Requirements

* 15 years Sales or FAE experience developing new business for Analog IC products
* 5 years of Sales or FAE management experience at a senior level
* BSEE or similar engineering background. MBA a plus
* Possesses a relationship network of engineering, purchasing management and key engineers across a broad base of customers in WR
* Experience developing business in vertical / ASSP markets as well as general purpose smaller markets
* Strong communication skills to manage a geographically spread out organization but also to ensure sales work as partners with their customers and Intersil PL's worldwide
* Experience in sales operations, sales related finance, legal and customer service processes and requirements
* Ability to set a vision for Intersil WR and develop a strategy to achieve the vision while simultaneously ensuring everyday tactical commitments are met. The vision should take into account the local market but be aligned to the Intersil corporate vision.
* Ability to gain the enthusiasm of the Intersil WR team to ?buy in? to the Intersil WR vision that is set.
