General Position Summary:
Respond to customer sales requests on the technical application of Company software and hardware products. Will also proactively develop new business opportunities in various vertical markets. Will conduct product demonstrations as required either in conjunction with independent outside rep firms or operating independently. Will work closely with technical staff and customerâ??s personnel to appropriately define system requirements. Will develop winning proposals and quotations.

Responsibilities:
â?¢ Responsible for inside sales of a portion of Company product line of software/hardware development tools and boundary-scan test equipment.
â?¢ Provide telephone support and sales follow-up including creation of customer proposals and quotations.
â?¢ Be technically proficient with all Company products and serve as a technical resource to sales team and customers on Company products and services.
â?¢ Responsible for coordinating efforts with independent rep firms and international distributors
â?¢ Conduct product presentations and demonstrations at Company, online via the web, at the customerâ??s location and at industry meetings.
â?¢ Occasional travel to customer sites for technical presentations and sales calls.
â?¢ Will participate in industry trade shows and seminars
â?¢ Collect and present market and competitor information to appropriate Company personnel
â?¢ Act as the â??Customer Voiceâ? on Company product enhancements, work closely with Engineering on implementations and attend regularly scheduled meetings as necessary.

Job Scope:
In addition to the above, position requires outstanding verbal and written communication skills. A high degree of flexibility is necessary due to the varied customer base, travel schedules, and market-driven changes. Position involves dealing with complex business conditions due to the need for complete knowledge of Company products, a thorough understanding of the customerâ??s business environment, and the need to provide the right solution to the customer. This position is one of high visibility during the selling cycle and the individual must be able to promote confidence and trust within the customer base. Position will include being the primary point of contact during technical evaluations and business negotiations.

Interpersonal Contacts:
Contacts are made with individuals both inside and outside the company. Contacts inside the company will extend to all levels of the organization and ability to communicate effectively is paramount. Contacts outside the company are usually with the customer, but the position requires the ability to directly engage customers on an in-bound or out-bound basis without background information. Discretion and good business practices must be observed since customer discussions can include confidential or sensitive information.

Specific Skills:
1. Capability to learn and understand all of Company products and their application.
2. Consultative ability to assist customer in identifying their requirements and present recommendations on the most appropriate solutions.
3. Management skills to organize & lead meetings at Company, customersâ?? locations, or industry functions.
4. Presentation skills and confidence to present company & product in one-on-one settings or to large gatherings of potential customers.
5. Excellent written skills for production of proposals and technical correspondence with customers.
6. Working knowledge of the state-of-the-art in product design and production test environment. Must be self-sufficient to be technically conversant with key customer personnel.df-tc


Experience/Skills
Education and Experience:
BSEE is required. 5-10 years experience in sales of embedded software, hardware development tools and test equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential. A commitment to total customer satisfaction is necessary.
