Job Description:
? Presales wireless packet core technologist that provides both strategic and tactical technical sales leadership and support for key GPRS/EDGE and UMTS accounts in Latin America.
? Primary focus will be 70% technical 30% business with key GPRS/EDGE and UMTS accounts.
? Develop strong technical relationships at the highest levels within the account acting as a trusted technical advisor for wireless data core solutions.
? Work with the sales management team and respective country managers to identify, qualify, and develop opportunities within the account including the development of sales presentations, competitive positioning, and white papers.
? Focus on defining and driving current and future customer driven solution requirements with product management, research and development, and marketing teams.
? Deliver presales technical presentations and training on wireless packet data products, and solutions as a technical expert for products and technologies.
? Act as the single face to the customer on all technical presales issues.

Primary responsibilities:
? Provide a consistent interface to the customer for all aspects of pre-sales technical and engineering activity.
? Deliver customer presentations to C-level, VP level and engineering level on product capabilities, value proposition and differentiators.
? Achieve annual revenue targets for all targeted account(s)
? Serve as the technical lead expert on responses to customer RFIs, RFPs, and technical questions.
? Perform network dimensioning, and develop equipment configurations and price quotations
? Remain active in network implementation activities through customer network acceptance and identify new opportunities for product development.



Job Requirements:
? 7+ years experience supporting sales activities in one of the following roles: Network Consultant, Sales Engineer, Product Management, Operations.
? Self motivated with strong desire for closing technical sales opportunities in South America Wireless Data operators.
? Experience supporting and working with wireless operator accounts. Existing relationships with GPRS/EDGE and UMTS wireless operators a plus.
? A complete understanding of data communications concepts as well as existing and future 3GPP2 network architectures.
? Extensive knowledge of subscriber management systems such as: PDSN, GGSN, Home Agent, RAS, BRAS. Technologies: Telecommunications PPP, IPv4, IPv6, QoS, UMTS and GPRS packet data technologies, and IP based services.
? The position requires a strong technical and business development acumen and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
? Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills.
? Fluent Spanish and English desired.
? Willing to travel internationally.
? Location: North America, preferably Miami or Ft. Lauderdale.

Education:
Degrees in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent course work in data and telecommunications with a strong marketing background.
MBA with telecommunications technology focus a plus.df-tc
