Description
Firm with offices in McLean, VA seeks an experienced Sales Engineer
Seeking qualified candidate to support technical sales activities out of the Washington DC area. Candidate should have a strong telecommunications background with emphasis in optical transport and WDM. Specific activities will be optical network design, product and lab demonstrations, presentations, and customer consulting.

Qualifications

5+ years technical experience with optical systems, including 2+ years with DWDM systems.
2+ years Equipment Vendor experience in sales engineering or systems engineering, including quote preparation and/or network planning responsibilities.
Candidates without the above qualifications will not be considered.
Candidate must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate ability to assist Sales in meeting sales objectives.
Knowledge of GMPLS a plus.
Requirements

BSEE or equivalent technical certification.
Advanced Excel knowledge a must.
Location: Northern Virginia.
Relocation is not offered.
40% Travel Required.
