Job Description:

This individual will be part of a 5-7 person team in the Sales Operations Department of Boston Scientific Corporation. This evolving Team is responsible for identifying the appropriate measurements and reports, report design, report creation, data/results analysis and interpretation to the Marketing and Sales Teams.

The individualâ??s general responsibilities will be to understand the business need as it relates to information reporting/gathering, to evaluate the information resources available and to provide a solution to meet the business need. The emphasis of this position is to design the solution to meet the need. As part of the on-going effort to improve the efficiencies of the department, this person will review procedures for defining, creating and revising database systems.

Essential Functions:

ï?. Identify, develop, and assist in the execution of database development activities, and apply database design standards, database management system methodologies and principals.
ï?. Analyze, design, plan, code, test, document, and implement solutions required to develop or to maintain reports and databases.
ï?. Prepare process workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail the operations to be performed.
ï?. Upgrade and maintain systems after implementation.
ï?. Prepare project status reports to inform management of project progression. Identify any issues that need to be evaluated for resolution or assistance.
ï?. Develop and manage project plans and schedules.
ï?. Explain work methods and check work for completeness, timeliness and accuracy.
ï?. Assess computer system capabilities, determine the process workflow and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
ï?. Complete complex ad hoc report writing.


Qualifications:

ï?. General business practices and operations.
ï?. Relational Database knowledge/experience.
ï?. Client/Server application development, architecture, database connectivity and network architectures.
ï?. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Access, Visual Basic, ASP, HTML, SQL Server Programming and Cognos
ï?. The candidate should also be familiar with flowcharting, troubleshooting, and Web Applications Development
ï?. Must possess good skills in system project planning, time estimation and management.
ï?. A Bachelorâ??s and or Masterâ??s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Management with 5+ years related work experience is requireddf-tc
