Description
The Drug Discovery Sales Specialist (DDSS) will be directly responsible for sales of all Millipore products and services contained within the Target Selection and Lead Optimization (TSLO) and MultiScreen? Plate Product Lines of the Drug Discovery Strategic Business Unit to all customer segments within the defined geography (Southern CA,TX, CO, Utah). Approximately 90% of sales activities will be focused on the Pharmaceutical and BioPharma customer segment and the remaining 10% on the Academic segment.

The Target Selection and Lead Optimization Product and Service Lines are comprised primarily of (but not limited to) the following:

-Catalog and Bulk Enzymes (Kinases, Phosphatases, etc.)
-KinaseProfiler? Screening Services
-PhosphataseProfiler? Screening Services
-PathwayProfiler? Services
-ChemiScreen? GPCR Membranes and Cell Lines
-GPCRProfiler? Screening Services
-PrecisION? Ion Channel Cell Lines
-Ion Channel Profiler? Screening Services
-Catalog and Bulk Substrates and Inhibitors
-Custom Drug Discovery Products & Services (e.g. FlexLab?)
-Custom Assay Development Services
-MultiScreen? Disposable Plates

The DDSS will be responsible for developing focused strategies and tactics for meeting revenue goals and increasing general awareness of Millipore within key accounts, as well as throughout their overall territory.

The DDSS should be capable of managing high-level technical discussions with key customers to ensure understanding and adoption of Millipore products and services within the DDSS's areas of responsibility. The individual must be able to communicate complex scientific concepts in a concise and effective manner, especially when speaking publicly (often through technical seminars). The DDSS should also be able to recognize and communicate opportunities at key accounts for other Millipore product lines and/or services (outside of the Drug Discovery Strategic Business Unit). The DDSS should also be capable of developing and managing customer relationships at a very high level (e.g. VP, CSO, PI) within the account base to ensure awareness and adoption of all Millipore products and services.

The DDSS will also be required to work closely with both their Account Manager partners to ensure that Drug Discovery opportunities at key accounts are being recognized and managed appropriately in a team sales approach. Likewise, the Account Managers will be required to support the efforts of the DDSS in key accounts.

Requires BS (phD preferred) with 7+ years experience in a related field required.df-tc
