Description
Serve as primary point of contact, coordination, management and resolution for all commercial and operational issues concerning the diagnostic business between the organization and the assigned target account(s).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
For assigned Territory/Accounts:
1. Work in conjunction with supervisor to develop and co-ordinate the implementation of an Operational Sales Plan, which is in line with the Corporate strategic and commercial goals.

2. Must have the ability to perform, demonstrate, and train clinical laboratory personnel on the diagnostic products/product lines in a clinical laboratory setting.

3. Develop a thorough understanding of the products, operations and strategic direction for accounts to enable the organization to manage current and future business opportunities.

4. Work in conjunction with the Marketing Department to co-ordinate the process of identifying, and analyzing new business and product acquisition or development opportunities.

5. Work in conjunction with other internal departments as needed to ensure current and future product specifications, quality and delivery meet customer expectations.

6. Prepare and monitor performance against the annual revenue and expense budgets for sales in assigned accounts. Work with appropriate account representative(s) to develop accurate forecasting and where appropriate develop multi year/ multi product contracts. As needed, work in conjunction with the Quality department to review contracts to ensure compliance with established standards.

7. Coordinate meetings between the organization and account representatives as needed to review, research and resolve any business issues. Ensure all issues are communicated through the correct channels in a timely fashion. Ensure timely and accurate resolution to identified issues.

8. Assist in maintaining the established quality system under the ISO9002 guidelines and ensure that all operations within the marketing department are in compliance with ISO and cGMP requirements.

9. Complete other related tasks as assigned by supervisor or other department management.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, or higher degree in a biological-based science, preferably a Med Tech degree. Preference will be given to candidates with post graduate business qualifications.
2. Five (5) to ten (10) years proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets. Prefer a minimum of five (5) years in a major account role, or a proven business/sales development track record at a progressively responsible level, including senior executives. Preference given to candidates with business-to-business sales experience.
3. Demonstrated experience in preparing and implementing strategic business plans at a major account level.
4. Demonstrated network of established relationships at the senior/executive management level within at least one of the Corporations market segments.
5. Detail oriented with excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate information appropriate to the level of the audience.
6. Experience in commercializing products in a regulated environment. Preference given to candidates with proven FDA regulated market knowledge or ISO related experience.
7. Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office software in a business environment.
8. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to meet the objectives of the position. Depending upon area of assignment travel may be approximately 40% - 70%.df-tc
