SALES TRAINING PRINCIPAL

This opportunity is for a senior level candidate at the ?Principal? level, reporting to the Global Sales Effectiveness Manager. The position is within the Client Facing Group, responsible for all sales/client facing personnel. This individual will report to the Sales Effectiveness Head and have contact with senior management as well as all sales employees across the organization. This is a?roll-up the sleeves? position requiring team interaction.

Responsibilities/Role:

- Partner with internal teams to develop competency models and design a (technical) Sales training strategy (that meets business objectives) and a comprehensive curriculum based on these competencies for the global sales team.
- Work with internal and external subject matter experts and vendors to manage the development of appropriate training platforms.
- Raise the proficiency of the sales team by ensuring they become knowledgeable about the organization?s growing range of customers, analytics, products, and sales processes.
- Develop and deliver training materials that will span a range of topics including, but not limited to: analytic content, product fundamentals, customer segments/profiles, and sales effectiveness.
- Assess the sales/client facing team?s capability, performance and learning requirements. Measure effectiveness of training and learning.
- Develop tactical plans that target training and performance success to designated clients? goals, objectives and challenges.
- Determine plan contents, design planning process, present plan for approval to client management, and manage the ongoing implementation of these plans.
- Create and manage learning and performance systems relative to tactical plans that include: conducting learning assessments of performance needs; recommend training solutions for knowledge and skill deficiencies; training design; delivery sources; timing requirements; and required resources.
- Deliver training programs and/or train others to deliver them. Identify, evaluate and acquire alternative delivery modalities.
- Deliver the content for and coordinate the ongoing integration of marketing and sales methods including competitive profiles and tactics, sales strategies, and marketing programs and tools.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the Sales/Client Facing Divisions.
- Audit client satisfaction and learning effectiveness and implement changes accordingly.
Be responsible for personal growth and development in the areas of Training and Development, and in current technology/consulting practices. Maintain and update training material on a routine basis.


Requirements:

- A BS in Business/Masters in education/instructional design and/or performance management.
- 10+ years of significant organizational development experience. A business knowledge that includes, but not limited to understanding: external forces; market opportunities; industry and competitive forces; organizational capabilities; business direction, goals, priorities and action plans; financial management and results; operations management.
- Experience with large Systems Integrators/Big 3.
