Description
Responsibilities for this position include:• Provide technical leadership for delivery of software and services based on product offerings from Network Appliance, VMware, Sun Microsystems, Symantec Software and other primary vendors • Conduct all related business in an appropriate and customer-focused manner• Track, organize, and conduct projects and assignments efficiently• Attend and acquire, on an ongoing basis, training sessions and manufacturer certifications • Develop and maintain relationships with customer and vendor technical contacts• Gather pre-sales site information and estimate project scope for installation/integration, both in conjunction with sales force members for both systems and service solutions• Assist pre-sales technical consultants in gathering information to develop provided solutions Please email Carlos Fernandez at carlos.fernandez@rht.comdf-tc

Experience/Skills
• Minimum of 8 years in hardware technology and Windows Server (Unix/Linux a plus) platforms • Minimum of 4 years in a Consultant, Sales Engineer, or similar position • Must have strong verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor dialogue to targeted audience• Must have strong written communication skills, including experience in writing documentation, assisting with SOW development, and written correspondence with customers and vendors• Must be detail-oriented • Must have the ability to estimate scope and effort accurately in order to prepare level of effort (LOE) documents• Strong interpersonal skills are required to for effective communication with internal team members, customers and vendors• Strong understanding and experience with NetApp’s midrange storage products• Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft, Linux and Solaris operating systems (MS Windows knowledge a plus)• Strong knowledge and experience with storage solutions from the major storage • Extensive knowledge of SAN architecture and implementation, iSCSI, and NAS technologies• Knowledge of Backup and Recovery technologies, including tape and disk products• Technical knowledge and understanding of methodologies for achieving High Availability, including clustering; working knowledge of a UNIX-based clustering product is a plus• Working knowledge of Enterprise security practices and productsEducation & Certification Required • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS or MIS, or Electrical Engineering• Current vendor certifications are a plus
