Description
This position provides database and display development and related configuration management for the continued maintenance and operations of the Southern Natural Gas Pipeline SCADA System. The person will be responsible for close coordination of database and display activities between Operations and Engineering Systems, Gas Control, Measurement Services, and field personnel, including: Reviewing and analyzing user requests for data and display changes; Assisting in determining optimal display and database solutions to meet customer requirements. Implementing new and maintaining existing displays and databases; Assisting in troubleshooting system problems and implementing resolutions; Position requirements are: Must have recent experience with Telvent (Valmet) OASyS database maintenance and display building using AutoCAD. Must have demonstrable skills with relational database technology, preferably Sybase, and SQL. Oracle experience is a plus. Must have knowledge using the Windows 2000 or XP Professional and Unix operating systems. Must have demonstrable skills programming in PERL and C shell script languages. Also required, are good interpersonal and communications skills coupled with a customer satisfaction attitude.
