PEROT SYSTEMS CORPORATION is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. It is currently looking for a SECURITY SYSTEMS - MANAGER to join our team in MECHANICSVILLE, VIRGINIA.

Job Responsibilities:
*Designs, develops or recommends security systems solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected. Provides technical services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions. Participates with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into processes and systems.

The Security Systems Manager typically provides leadership support to clients, Specialists and Analysts, ensuring that security programs and assigned team members meet or exceed goals. Supports Sr. Specialists on calls with outside clients. Prepares basic budget reports, assures timeline compliance, and develops implementation/delivery plans. Provides performance input on assigned staff to management; trains less experienced staff members. Requires 10-15 years of progressive experience in Network or Systems Security, Information Security Management, Financial applications development and management, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional certification in area of expertise is desirable, along with participation in nationally recognized information security organizations. Typical Duties
  • Participates in technology and policy development. Supports all security system modifications, integrations, and migrations.
  • Ensures that Information Security programs being developed at client sites and Perot Systems meet well-defined need and add value to existing offerings. Identifies possible opportunity areas within Information Security Management programs.
  • Recommends possible enhancements and implications to clients, Sr. Manager and Director.
  • Briefs clients and Account Managers on need for security activities and upgrades. Monitors implementation and effectiveness of programs.
  • Reviews staffing on current projects for ability to meet agreed upon project deadlines. Contracts with outside specialists, as necessary, to meet client’s timeframe.
  • Supports communications and teaming among associates performing security functions world-wide.
  • Reviews Internal Audit findings with regard to Information Security Management. Works with internal and external clients refining procedures to ensure future compliance.
  • Compiles status and budget information pertinent to the assigned functional area; prepares reports and recommendations with associated action plans for Sr. Manager and Director.
  • Designs and arranges training for client users and Perot Systems Associates. Provides individual performance feedback to assigned team members and Sr. Manager.

    Manager of a team responsible for the network security of a Fortune 500 medical supplier. Plays key role in Security Policy development and enforcement with particular engagement throughout the Development Life Cycle. Maintains awareness of risks and vulnerabilities for affected systems and assists in developing risk mitigation strategies. Plays key role in AntiVirus activities and assessing risk associated with new vulnerabilities. Develops security best/recommended practices for users & IT staff. Understands network traffic flows and port requirements. Plays a key role in the administration of a Microsoft ISA 2006 environment. Applies knowledge of network and end user environments to provide a variety of customer services through telephone, e-mail, computer access, mail and personal contacts. Provides informational materials, schedules, status, delivery, and process details to customers. Resolves customer questions, complaints and requests, frequently involving policy interpretation. Processes adjustments, and maintains tracking and logging records. Serves as liaison between customers and various company departments. Prepares required reports and conducts other related customer services. Communicates professionally as liaison between auditors, business clientele and technical staff.

    Required Skills:



    • *3 or more years of leading an information security team*

    • *3 or more years experiece in Active Directory*

    • *2 or more years experience Juniper SSL VPN or like type technology*

    • *Experience with Microsoft ISA 2006*

    • *Knowledge in service management, ITIL Framework specifically around Incident, Request, and Change ticket management*

    • *Experience in customer service and interfacing with the customer on a daily basis*

    • *Experience with the Symantec AntiVirus product suite*

    • *Familiar with Symantec Network Access Control (NAC) or like type technology*

    • *Experince in Internet Web Filtering (Surf Control)*

    • *Familiar with enVision (Event Correlation) or like type technology*


    Desired Skills:



    • *Proven experience in securing applications as part of the SDLC.
      *

    • *CISSP certification is desirable.
      *

    • *ITIL Foundation Certification is desirable.
      *


    Minimum Educational Requirements:
