Description
PEROT SYSTEMS CORPORATION is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. It is currently looking for a Information Security Senior Specialist to join our team in Providence, RI.

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall Information Security program for the client account, the effectiveness of technical safeguards, and the integrity of information security processes. Designs, develops or recommends security systems solutions for network, server, mainframe, and workstation environments that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected. Participate with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into processes and systems. Evaluate vendor proposals for security solutions.

Perform risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and compliance assessments. Act as a liaison to customer Information Security Officer and Auditors. Identify information security issues, assess risks, research and recommend options.

Monitor compliance with Information Security Policies, Standards, Procedures, and Critical Practices. Track approved exceptions to security standards. Review network and host Intrusion Detection status. Ensure that important security software patches are evaluated and deployed in a timely manner.

CISSP certification required, along with appropriate specialty certification (CISA, GIAC, etc.) and participation in nationally recognized information security organizations.


Required Skills:
  • 5+ yrs. of in depth experience with Information Security technologies (IDS, Anti-virus, VPN, Encryption, Identity Management, Log Correlation, Authentication, etc.)

  • 7+ yrs. of in depth experience with IP Network technologies (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, DNS, DHCP, Wireless, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Windows Active Directory, Novell eDirectory, UNIX, and RACF environments


    • Desired Skills:
  • Strong communications skills

  • Information Security Policies, Standards, and Procedures development

  • Compliance and Audit experience

  • Project Management Experience


    • Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • BS Computer Science


    • Minimum Certification Requirements:
  • CISSP certification is required
