Description
Being a member of the Information Security Team, you would be responsible under the direction of the Information Security Manager, to assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of the logical security for all computer-based systems and networks across all technical platforms.-------------------------------------------------------------------JOB DUTIES:This position has two distinctive roles; 1) Providing Information Security consultancy services to the Business Consults and provides information security engineering assistance in support of various business and IT projects. Assists in the creation and maintenance of security standards and procedures. Reviews and analyzes business risks and creates security requirements and controls. Provides information security expertise in support of web services and application development. 2) Leading various IT Information Security initiatives. Functions as a technical lead on security projects. Resolves complex issues regarding information systems security. Promotes implementation of various security initiatives.Leads the direction and strategy within our intrusion detection and prevention environment. Leads incident response activities for security events across IT. Performs detailed security reviews of hardware, software, and information systems. Evaluates new projects and applications particularly as they relate to network security architecture and design. Recommends and implements security product requirements, policy, and procedure and assists with the development of our security roadmap. Coordinates penetration testing and mitigation efforts to found exposures.Creates security project plans and documentation. Monitors information security information portals and keep abreast of events, research, and developments within the community. Stay abreast of advances in technology, changes in the transportation and logistics industries, and general business developments. Helps to mentor junior members of the technical security team. Travels less than 5% of time. Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and 5 to 7 years of Information Security experience. Information security certification; CISSP, SSCP, SANS GCIA and/or GIAC required. Experience and expertise in Windows and UNIX security compliance auditing and the use of different tools to accomplish it. Strong skills in LAN/WAN networking and TCP/IP connectivity and communications. Strong skills in Firewalls such as Checkpoint, Cisco PIX, etc. Strong skills in Intrusion detection and prevention products and methodology. Strong skills in various user authentication products and methodologies. The ability to develop, review, and maintain security policies and standards. Demonstratesindependent decision-making abilities Possesses and applies both specific and broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures within Information Security. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills to interface with technical administrators, senior IT and Business Management. Ability to Project management IT related projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
