I have been asked to identify ideally regionally local US citizen Security Analyst / Security Engineer candidates with CISSP certification and significant CIRT experience, specific experience investigating security related issues, obtaining forensic evidence related to security breaches, daily log review & reports analysis, identifying security problems, experience doing highly technical lab work, proof of concept coding, IDS signature development, log analysis, independent vulnerability & cyber attack research, web & database development reviews and trend analysis for an initial five months+ independent contract with a three year renewal option or an option to covert to an employee of the company in the Newark, New Jersey area (walking distance from the trains). (Ideally regionally local NY / NJ / PA area candidates preferred, no interviewing, travel or relocation expenses are provided for this opportunity. No visa sponsorship available and no 3rd party referrals, agencies or corp to corp sub-contracting referrals from multi-employee consulting companies, please, for any WSI requirements, no exceptions). ---------------------------------------------------------------- General resume submissions are always welcome, candidates who include the TARGETED cover letter as described below will be reviewed first for this opportunity. ----------------------------------------------------------------- The selected ideally regionally local US citizen Independent Consultant Security Analyst / Security Engineer candidate will become a member of a computer incident response team (CIRT) doing highly technical lab work, proof of concept coding, IDS signature development, log analysis, independent vulnerability and cyber attack research, web and database development review, trend analysis, threat assessment, and correlation analysis, as well as assist in educating all departments to support the Organizations Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines. Duties also include incident handling, incident response and escalation management in a 24x7 enterprise network environment. The Security Analyst / Engineer will assist in educating all departments to support the Organization's Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines including performing routine actions in order to monitor the organization's security posture, help manage the organizations security devices and may be called upon to occasionally serve after hours in support of incident response activities and be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualified ideally regionally local US citizen Independent Consultant Security Analyst / Security Engineer candidates will have CISSP certification and several years of relevant CIRT experience preferred but not required. Specific experience investigating security related issues, obtaining forensic evidence related to security breaches, daily log review & reports analysis, identifying security problems, experience doing highly technical lab work, proof of concept coding, IDS signature development, log analysis, independent vulnerability & cyber attack research, web & database development reviews and trend analysis.
