Description
Responsible for handling security related calls, performing security audits of the infrastructure and monitoring IDS systems. Responsible for protecting data and resources from accidental or intentional disclosure, modification, and deletion by unauthorized personnel. Develops security policies, strategies, guidelines, standards, and procedures. Serves as primary contact to the organization for security-related issues, and provides production support to the security environment. Supports managed security services practice with security policy and technical leadership. Support or lead problem identification through incident report analysis, root cause analysis of problems, resolution / solution to correct problems, forensic information capture.

Experience/Skills
Performing the daily tasks associated with information security, incident response, vulnerability handling, and security event monitoring within the Organization
Day to day management and analysis of Intrusion Detection system hardware software, and ephemeral data
Computer hardware installation and configuration
Analyze data, formulate mitigation strategies, and present findings
Triage of incident/vulnerability reports and initial scope determination of incident/vulnerability reports
Policy development and process implementation in reference to protection of GSOC and customer environments
Review existing policies and updating them as appropriate
Serve as subject matter expert in Info Security matters
Be on call to respond to internet emergencies outside of normal business hours
Recognize and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information

Job Requirements:

3+ Years Experience as a Security Analyst utilizing Cisco Hardware and Software
Experience extracting security information from network monitoring tools/applications
Possess an operational proficiency of multiple security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, vulnerability scanners, AV, etc.)
Knowledge of Incident and Intrusion Response/Handling
Experience analyzing large volumes of IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Proxies and network data
Working knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, security devices and network devices
Knowledge of Core Internet protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, etc.)
Knowledge of Internet routing protocols and security issues related to Internet routing (OSPF, RIP, HSRP, EIGRP, AAA, NAT, IPsec, 802.1q, 802.1x, 802.1p, DHCP)
Detailed knowledge of methods used by intruders to attack systems and networks
Experience collecting, summarizing, and analyzing Internet traffic and incident data for security trends
CISSP Certifcation (Preferred)
