Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Security Analyst role will provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of information security. Analyst will perform both operational and administrative duties for multiple clients including internal IT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform vulnerability, controls, and threat assessments to define the risk landscape. Develop and propose strategies and plans to address identified risks.
Collaborate on IT projects to ensure that security issues are being addressed throughout the project life cycle.
Define security configuration and operational standards for security systems and applications.
Provide oversight and assistance in the resolution of reported security incidents.
Plan, implement, and operate security technologies.
Research and assess new threats and security alerts.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the development of information security policies, processes, and procedures.
Develop security processes and procedures to support service-level agreements.
Participate in the internal and external audit process as required and assist in the resolution of security audit findings.
Participate in security investigations and compliance reviews.
Develop and validate baseline security configurations.
Assist in the development of other security team members through cross-training and the creation of training materials.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new and updated security technologies.
Advise security administrators and other IT personnel on minimum requirements and best practices in information security.
Regular, predictable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of five years†TM IT or information security experience.
Security certification preferred: (ISC)2, GIAC, ISACA, etc.
Experience with information security frameworks ISO 17799/27001, ITIL, and NIST
Proficiency with project management fundamentals; project definition, scoping, and planning.
Security documentation development and maintenance.
Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
Ability to interact with personnel at all levels and across all businesses.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Customer/client focus, with the ability to manage expectations and provide superior customer support.
Technical expertise in many of the following areas;
Operating system, application, and web security practices and techniques.
o Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and encryption technologies.
o Active Directory, eDirectory, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
o Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools and techniques.
o Network security technologies and products (firewall, IPS, DLP).

EDUCATION:

Bachelor†TM s degree or equivalent work experience
