Security Architect (CISSP, CCIE, CCSP) - 1CC-553749

Thompson Technologies has a Full time opportunity for a Security Architect in Greenville, SC.

The Security Engineer acts as a security resource in the Technology organization. The primary focus is developing customer facing security related products and service developments. Secondary focus will revolve around security infrastructure planning along with enterprise security products. Responsibilities include high-level security architecture, design, testing, evaluation, planning, quality assurance, documentation and analysis.

Requirements:

• 10 years progressive experience working with carrier grade systems, networks and Internet Services Understanding of end-to-end security architectures, testing, and implementation
• 10 years of demonstrated ability to grasp and apply intricate concepts related to security of Voice and Data networks in a carrier environment
• 5 years of demonstrated ability to plan, implement and support complex systems
• Proficiency with multiple Operating Systems including Windows, Linux, Solaris, BSD, and other Unix variants along with in-depth knowledge of hardware
• Knowledge of Cisco and general networking principles
• Knowledge of security protocols, technologies and methodologies (Intrusion detection systems, Firewalls, access control systems, Cryptography, etc)
• Expertise with network, systems, and application design
• CISSP or equivalent certification
• General knowledge of NIST security standards
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field

Preferred:

• Security Certifications such as CCSP, Security , GCIA, GCIH.
• Operations and management of distributed systems
• Working knowledge of Sun/Solaris systems administration, database concepts, Shell, Scripting languages and programming
• 5 years experience designing and maintaining security systems for an enterprise of 100 or more employees
