blueStone has been retained by a leading Financial Services company to assist in their search for a Security Architect.
This is a full time opportunity located in Detroit, MI.


Description:

Information Security (IS) involves an increasingly broad and pervasive set of issues including intrusion detection and information warfare, cryptography, computer crime and privacy issues, security evaluation of internally and externally developed and hosted systems, secure e-commerce, and network security. This position is part of a team focused on information security for the client globally.


Responsibilities:

Lead the research, creation, documentation, and maintenance of all technical content in support of publishing the clients information security standards, baselines, procedures, and processes that align with the Information Security Policy & Standards (ISP&S).

Act as the technical subject matter expert supporting the Client Information Security policy team. Participate in the development of global security and control policies that define high-level principles around the creation and usage of information technology, computer applications, and infrastructure.

Work closely with other infrastructure, application, architecture and engineering verticals to ensure that the security standards being developed/changed/maintained align with current architectural strategies and technical solutions. Identify, assess and quantify any gaps and associated remediation.

Participate in the Gold Build Definition (GBD) process to ensure that they reflect all security requirements dictated by the client ISP&S and associates baselines.

Contribute to the strategic direction of information security for the client and its subsidiaries and affiliates

Interface with all levels of management to communicate and obtain information, priorities and direction.

Stay abreast on the latest industry trends and best practices in IT information security.



Qualifications:


Advanced technical familiarity with all aspects of IT Infrastructure and application technology

Expert knowledge of security best practices, concepts, solutions, and security attack vectors. Has thorough understanding of technical concepts required for security architecture analysis and design. Uses that knowledge, creativity and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems.

Strong understanding of risk management principles

Knowledge of frameworks, architectural concepts and operational tools

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree (B. A.) and three to five years related experience.

Familiar with federal and state regulations relating to the Lending and Financial Services industries required (GLBA 501B, FFIEC)

Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) certification is desirable.
