Our Mortgage Insurance client in the Triad area of NC is looking for a Security Compliance Specialist for a long term contract assignment.
Scope of Position: Responsible for ensuring that the company s information assets are adequately protected against unauthorized alteration, loss, disclosure, destruction or denial. Person will work independently and assume responsibility for ensuring the company s compliance with security policies and standards. This person will utilize the knowledge of Information Security and our client’s security policies/ standards to identify and research security and compliance concerns. He or she will provide creative and/or appropriate solutions while maintaining and compiling data to track the company s level of compliance. Functional responsibilities include: Exception Management, Monitoring, Security Awareness, Regulatory and corporate Compliance , and the execution of Compliance Reviews.

Experience/Skills
Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent related work experience. Two years experience in data management (data base management is acceptable), systems design, or software architecture, and client facing software. Knowledge of network intrusion protection and detection architectures, fire walling techniques, operating system vulnerabilities, vulnerability assessment and the associated tools. Able to take lead in testing, incident response and security forensics. Requires knowledge of information encryption technology and practice including use of PKI, 3DES, SSL etc. Must be versed in vulnerabilities in Unix and Microsoft operating environments.
