Description
Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions and is searching for a Security Engineer in the SAN Francisco, CA area.

Responsibilities:
  • Works with IT Team Lead for Security and the Technical Project Manager to design, develop or recommend security systems solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected. Also, coordinates with the Web Project Manager and the Security Engineer for web single sign on systems
  • Provide technical services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions
  • Participate with in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into processes and systems
  • Participate in tactical and strategic planning for Information Security Management function as it relates to the Epic Clinical Information System implementation
  • Exercise independent judgment in developing method, technique, and evaluation criteria to be used in obtaining results
  • Work with Managers to ensure all assigned team members have adequate resources and training for assignments
  • Evaluate and define risks associated with current and proposed technologies
  • Conduct Information Security risk assessment of security for configured systems
  • Take an active role in developing Standard Operating Practices as it relates to the systems involved the Epic implementation
  • Participates in Disaster Recovery planning and testing activities
  • Participates in unit, integration and perf-tests
  • Participates across project teams to define appropriate manner in which to handle sensitive information
  • Work with appropriate parties to ensure adoption and adherence with practices
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Security Awareness campaigns for the project
  • Incorporate recommendations from Internal Audit findings to ensure project compliance
  • Provide input to program timeline, costs, and implementation

    Required Skills:
    Requires 10 or more years of progressive directly related experience in network and systems security, information security engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience in enterprise-wide combinations of:
  • Network security design and operations
  • Citrix Presentation Server & Access Management
  • Electronic encryption, key management, E-commerce and secure EDI
  • Clinical Information Systems security operations or development, experience with financial applications helpful
  • Smartcards
  • Windows 2003 desktop and server
  • Firewall design, implementation and support
  • IBM AIX HACMP environments
  • Sensitive database support (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, Cache) and applications
  • MS Office Suite
  • HP PC hardware/software
  • Professional certification in area of expertise is required
  • Certification in Epiccare preferred
  • Must have experience in multi-platform, mission-critical 24 x 7 environment
