One of our best healthcare clients is searching for a candidate to fulfill the role of Security Engineer I. In this role you'll be implementing and monitoring internal controls; security policies, procedures, and best practices. You'll be responsible for ensuring that issues will be identified and that problems will be detected and prevented. You'll also communicate specific, measurable and timely metrics reports regarding the security posture of this client's organization.

Experience/Skills
To qualify for consideration for this position, you must meet or exceed the following:

  • A 4-year degree, preferably in Computer Sciences or Information Technology or equivalent, related work experience.
  • 2+years experience with application, network and operating systems assessments in a medium to large enterprise preferably in a multi-hospital and/or medical center setting.
  • Ability to works independently as well as with a team with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated strength in performing security assessments to identify risks, opportunities and to improve internal controls.
  • Familiarity with the following OS/Apps: AS400, Novell, MS Windows, McKesson, Meditech, and HMS.
  • I.T. support experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
  • Solid customer service skills; analytical, problem resolution, organizational skills are sought.
  • Ability to work on and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects.
